Entertainment Partners (EP) sits at the financial and operational core of the screen production ecosystem. Across Australia and New Zealand, we provide the infrastructure that enables productions to operate compliantly, efficiently and at scale, from budgeting and scheduling to payroll and accounting, to incentives and final reporting.

The Junior Payroll Assistant provides administrative and processing support within the payroll team, including support to the End of Month (EOM) function. This is an entry-level role, well suited to someone building a career in payroll, with the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience processing payroll for cast, crew and extras across internal and external client productions.

This is a fixed-term full time position for 6 to 12 months.

Payroll

- Processes payroll for cast, crew and extras, for internal and external client productions.
- Builds working knowledge of payroll legislation, with support from senior team members.
- Assists in communicating with clients to help manage expectations, escalating as needed.
- Ensures payroll is completed accurately and on time.
- Supports the resolution of payroll processing issues, escalating more complex matters to senior staff.
- Develops understanding of client software use and EP's policies on client vs. EP responsibilities.




- Works with the team to test and understand new features in our software systems.

EOM Support

- Assists with preparation of month-end (EOM) superannuation and payroll tax for clients, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Assists with the registration and cancellation of registrations and policies as appropriate.
- Assists in the review of reports and analysis of EOM processes.

General

- Adheres to all organisation policies and procedures.
- Interacts and co-operates with all members of the organisation, its suppliers, and clients/customers.
- Participates in training programs as offered for continued development.
- Undertakes ad hoc duties as required by manager to fulfil business requirements.

Requirements & Skills

Experience

- Experience in administration, accounts or customer service highly regarded.
- Interest in the screen production or entertainment industry considered a plus.

Skills & Capabilities

- Ability to work under pressure in a calm and methodical manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong attention to detail and the desire to 'do it right'.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise workload, and meet payroll deadlines and client expectations.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
