About the Role

The Café Assistant (Part-Time) works alongside the Café Manager to support the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the College Café and catering services.

This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, food and café operations, stock control and administration.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the College Café and catering services, providing support to students and staff.
- Providing friendly and professional service to students, staff, parents and suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels,



undertaking stocktakes, placing orders and checking deliveries.
- Processing sales, stock and invoices.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, workplace health and safety.
- Supporting and, when required, supervising volunteer parent helpers.
- Supporting banking and the secure handling of cash and other payments when required.
- Undertaking other café, catering and administrative duties as directed by the Café Manager.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in a café, catering, hospitality or similar environment.
- Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Confident working with stock, ordering and basic financial administration.
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with a wide range of people.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Calm, flexible and professional when working in a busy environment.
- Willing and capable of taking initiative and stepping into additional responsibility when required.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety.
