Site Engineer — Bridges & Civil Infrastructure Mornington area

The Opportunity Our client, a well-established civil and infrastructure construction business, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team delivering a significant bridge construction project based in the Mornington area. This is a genuine opportunity to work on a live, high-profile piece of civil infrastructure close to the Mornington Peninsula.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site engineering support across all phases of bridge and civil construction works

Coordinate and supervise day-to-day construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to specification

Interpret and apply engineering drawings, design documentation and specifications on site

Manage quality assurance and compliance documentation, including ITPs, inspections and as-built records

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the broader project team to ensure smooth site delivery

Support setout, survey coordination and materials/quantity tracking

Contribute to programming,



sequencing and problem-solving of in office construction challenges

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards throughout works

About You

Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent trade/technical background with strong site experience)

Experience in bridges, roads or broader civil infrastructure construction essential

Open to mid-level through to senior Site Engineers — the right experience matters more than years alone

Comfortable working within a structured, safety-focused site environment

Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a project team

Victorian construction industry experience highly regarded
