ABOUT THIS ROLE

n

As a JJ's Purchasing Officer, you will support our National Operations from the Underwood office.

n

You will be experienced, reliable and able to provide efficient day-to-day support to the team. Working in a dynamic setting, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

n

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

n

Permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

Liaise with Workshop Managers/Supervisors to coordinate the timely delivery of parts for vehicles

n





Ensure that goods and services purchased are fit for purpose

n

Develop, recommend and implement purchasing strategies

n

Manage day-to-day purchasing of supplies and services

n

Monitor incorrect orders, ensure deposits are recovered and best value for money is achieved

n

Maintain appropriate stock levels and reduce unneeded stock

n

Keep the store in a logical and tidy manner

n

Processing of documentation accurately and efficiently within required timeframes

n

Answering telephones, responding to email enquiries

n

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring timely responses, appropriate follow up, escalations and preparing outgoing correspondence as required

n

Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met

n

Facilitate flow of information

n

Other duties as requested

ABOUT YOU

n

Experience in a similar Purchasing Officer role

n

Able to work autonomously - with a positive and proactive approach

n

Experience in Transport / Logistics industry

n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

n

Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders

n

Excellent data entry skills and an eye for detail

n

Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance

n
