- Experience and a demonstrated skill set for supervising and leading a team including supporting the Manager in the application of human resource management processes;
n
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to new and unexpected events and appropriately escalation issues;
n
- Experience in the criminal justice environment including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and practice directives in an operational environment is preferable or alternatively possess a similar work experience that demonstrates your previous exposure to governed systems and an ability to rapidly acquire necessary knowledge;
n
- Demonstrated ability to maintain governance and oversight systems including using information to support service delivery and performance as well as to maintain effective quality assurance processes;
n
- Solid written and oral communication skills and an attention to detail in this regard including in the preparation of and completion of complex reports, for both internal and external stakeholders; and
n
- Proven skills in staff engagement including coaching, mentoring and staff development as well as experience in conducting difficult conversations, negotiating resolutions and appropriately reporting issues and actions.
