Practice Supervisor – GP Medical Practice

As Practice Supervisor, you will be a key point of contact for the team and will help ensure the practice delivers an excellent experience for both patients and staff. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the practice operates smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and GP Owner, while providing day-to-day leadership and support to the entire practice team, including doctors, nurses, reception and allied health.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice
n
- Working closely with and supporting the whole practice team
n
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to clinical and non-clinical staff
n
- Supporting doctors, nurses, reception and allied health with operational requirements
n
- Assisting with staff rostering, leave management and daily staffing needs
n
- Ensuring effective communication and teamwork across the practice
n
- Monitoring patient flow, waiting times and patient experience
n
- Assisting with Medicare, billing and general practice administration
n
- Managing and resolving day-to-day operational issuesSupporting the onboarding,



training and development of team members

About you

n

n
- Previous experience as a Practice Supervisor, Practice Manager, Senior Medical Receptionist or similar leadership role
n
- Experience working in a GP or primary healthcare environment
n
- Strong understanding of GP practice operations and workflows
n
- Knowledge of Medicare, billing and general practice administration
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- The ability to build positive relationships with doctors and the wider practice team
n
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
n
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
n
- A professional, positive and solutions-focused approach
n
- A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent patient and team experience

$45-50 per hour + super

n

Casual employment with potential to transition to permanent
