RH Shop Fitting Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner to join our growing team. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, measuring, cutting and preparing timber and other materials, assembling custom joinery and cabinetry, preparing joints, installing completed joinery and shopfitting components on site, and carrying out adjustments and repairs where required.
Key Responsibilities
Study and interpret drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements
Select and prepare timber and other materials for joinery works
Measure, cut, shape and prepare materials in accordance with project specifications
Cut and prepare joints and assemble components for custom joinery, cabinetry, fixtures and fittings
Assemble prepared components ready for installation
Install completed joinery and shopfitting components on site,
ensuring accurate alignment, dimensions and finishes
Repair, adjust and modify existing joinery, fixtures and fittings as required
Work closely with project managers, site teams and other trades to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
About you
Certificate III in Joinery or equivalent relevant qualification
At least one year of relevant work experience
Strong skills in woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
Sound WHS knowledge
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commercial joinery or shopfitting experience highly regarded
Additional language skills an advantage in our multicultural work workplace
