Administration Officer - Accounting Firm

This is a varied role that combines traditional administration with supporting accountants throughout the client workflow. You will be responsible for keeping the practice running efficiently through a mix of client interaction, administrative tasks, and support to the accounting team.

While we would ideally like someone to work full-time, we're also open to hearing from experienced candidates who are looking to work school hours.

Key responsibilities

- Answering phones and managing incoming enquiries
n
- Managing ATO correspondence and online communications
n
- Preparing and lodging ASIC documents
n
- Assisting accountants with workflow and job management
n
- Client interaction including requesting information from and following up outstanding items
n
- Preparing workpapers and setting up client files
n
- Sending engagement letters and other client documentation
n
- Using cloud-based practice management systems to keep jobs moving
n




- General office administration and providing support across the team
n

About you

n

n
- Has previous experience working in an accounting firm (preferred)
n
- Understands the day-to-day operations of an accounting practice
n
- Is confident communicating professionally with clients
n
- Has excellent organisational skills and solid attention to detail
n
- Can manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
n
- Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team
n
- Is comfortable learning and using technology
n
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager, NowInfinity, ContentSnare, Practice Ignition, or FYI Docs would be highly regarded
