We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fitter / Machinist / Hydraulics Technician to join our friendly and quick-paced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, working with their hands and tackling jobs that require initiative, problem-solving and a broad range of skills.

Key responsibilities

- Operating lathes, milling machines and general workshop equipment
n
- Hydraulic repairs, servicing and component replacement
n
- Fitting, machining and mechanical repairs
n
- General welding, fabrication and repair work
n
- Repairing and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment
n
- Custom engineering and one-off projects
n
- Diagnosing problems and developing practical solutions
n
- Working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
n
- Occasional field and breakdown work
n

About you

n

n
- Proven experience operating lathes, milling machines and workshop machinery
n
- Experience with hydraulics and hydraulic component repairs (not essential)
n
- Fitting and mechanical repair experience
n
- General welding and fabrication skills
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
n
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- The ability to work within a time and cost-based environment
n




- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
n
- A current MR licence and Forklift Licence would be advantageous
n
- 3rd or 4th year apprentices with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
n
