Our client Innovative Early Learning is seeking a Centre Director to join their team!

This is a rare opportunity to lead the launch of a brand-new early learning service in Burwood from the ground up, shaping its culture, community relationships, and educational programs right from day one. It's an ideal role for an experienced early childhood leader who is ready to take ownership of a service and make a lasting impact on children, families, and a growing team, with a competitive salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year including superannuation.

What you'll be doing?

- Leading the new service opening: Take charge of the successful launch and ongoing operation of the brand-new Burwood service, playing a pivotal role in its journey from day one.
- Building and mentoring a team: Recruit, mentor, and support a team of educators and room leaders, helping shape a workplace where people feel valued and supported to grow.
- Ensuring compliance: Oversee adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations, and service policies, keeping the centre safe and high-performing.
- Overseeing educational programs: Guide the delivery of educational programs and drive continuous improvement across the service.
- Building community relationships: Foster strong, genuine connections with children, families, staff, and the local community.
- Driving occupancy growth: Manage enrolment enquiries and family engagement initiatives to support the centre's growth.
- Managing centre operations: Monitor budgets, staffing, and day-to-day operations to keep the service running smoothly.
- Shaping a positive culture: Champion a collaborative, professional, and welcoming workplace culture from the very beginning.




- Leading assessment and rating processes: Guide the service through its assessment and rating journey with confidence and care.

Who are they looking for?

- Early childhood education qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education is required for this role.
- Leadership experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Centre Director or senior leadership role is essential, given the scope of setting up a new service.
- Knowledge of frameworks and legislation: Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislation is needed to guide the service confidently.
- Team management skills: Proven experience leading and managing teams will help build a strong, motivated centre team.
- Communication and organisational skills: Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities support success in juggling the many moving parts of a new service.
- Working with Children Check: A current Working with Children Check (NSW) is required.
- First Aid and health certificates: Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates are required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in care.
- Child Protection training: Current Child Protection training is required for this role.
- Childcare systems knowledge:



A solid understanding of childcare management systems and administrative processes is important to keep operations running smoothly. Familiarity with the OWNA platform is a bonus but not essential, and candidates without this exposure are still encouraged to apply.
- New service or growth experience: Experience opening a new early learning service or managing centre growth is highly regarded given the nature of this role.
- Community engagement experience: Experience developing occupancy and community engagement strategies would be an asset.
- Mentoring capability: The ability to mentor and develop future leaders within the service is valued as the centre grows.
