About the role

Asian Taste Vietnamese Meat Roll is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to the preparation and quality of our popular menu. You will prepare, cook and present a variety of Vietnamese and Asian dishes in accordance with established recipes and food quality standards.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present a variety of Vietnamese and Asian dishes in accordance with established recipes and food quality standards.
- Develop and refine menu items and recipes while maintaining the restaurant's established Vietnamese and Asian culinary style.
- Monitor the quality, freshness and presentation of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistent food standards.
- Monitor food usage, portion sizes and wastage to support effective food cost control.
- Ensure food is stored, labelled and rotated appropriately to maintain freshness and minimise food waste.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety throughout food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Coordinate the preparation and cooking of dishes during busy service periods to ensure food is prepared and served efficiently.
- Ensure food preparation areas, cooking equipment and kitchen facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and hygienic condition.
- Train and guide kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, recipes,



cooking procedures and presentation standards.

About you

- Must have at least an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management; an AQF Diploma in Hospitality is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese and Asian cuisine, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
- High-volume food preparation for daily service.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced restaurant environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and kitchen coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality, consistency and presentation.
