Red Gum BBQ is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our Red Hill restaurant.
We’re all about great BBQ, big flavours and food we’re proud to serve. We’re looking for someone who can jump in, work hard, have a laugh and be part of a genuinely outstanding kitchen crew.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and cooking food to Red Gum BBQ standards
- Taking ownership of your section across prep and service
- Working across busy lunch and dinner services
- Ensuring food quality, consistency and presentation
- Keeping your section organised, stocked and ready to go
- Maintaining high food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
- Working closely with our Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Helping keep the kitchen running smoothly when things get busy
What we’re looking for
- A relevant Commercial Cookery qualification
- Previous experience working as a Chef or Chef de Partie in a commercial kitchen
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Confidence working in a busy service
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Reliable, organised and calm under pressure
- A great attitude and willingness to be part of the team
- Availability across weekdays and weekends
Experience with American BBQ or smokers would be great, but definitely isn’t essential, we can teach you the BBQ stuff. What’s in it for you?
