Melrose Restaurant & Rooftop Bar is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our Pan-Asian kitchen team.

We’re looking for a confident all-rounder with solid experience across wok, grill and larder, who can work efficiently during busy restaurant services while maintaining excellent flavour, consistency and presentation.

About You

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy commercial restaurant kitchen
- Strong wok experience
- Confident working the grill, including proteins and correct cooking temperatures
- Experienced in larder, preparation, sauces and mise en place
- Pan-Asian / Asian cuisine experience strongly preferred
- Genuine passion for food, flavour and presentation
- Able to confidently run an allocated section
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, FIFO and stock rotation
- Calm, organised and efficient during high-volume services
- Positive attitude and strong team player
- Available to work evenings and weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
- Valid Australian working rights

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to Melrose standards, running allocated sections during service, completing mise en place and maintaining consistency across our à la carte menu, banquets, functions and events.
