Child Care Educator (Diploma Qualified)

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated Child Care Educator to join our friendly and professional team.

College Community Child Care Centre is a community-based Not-for-profit early learning service located on the SR TAFE Campus in Bunbury. Established in 1996. We support all little learners from 6 weeks to 6 years offering a service to all members of the Bunbury and surrounding communities.

We expect all employees, volunteers and students to actively contribute to a child safe culture by maintaining professional boundaries, acting in the best interests of children and complying with child protection legislation, policies and procedures To join our Team, you are required to hold a Diploma in Children's Services or if you are actively working towards this qualification the candidate may be considered.

A current Working with Children Check, a National Police Clearance, a medical clearance will be required upon employment.

Essential Requirements;

- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Completion of the Department of Education’s GECCKO training (National Child Safety Training – Level 4)
- A relevant Diploma qualification, or evidence of actively working towards the qualification

It is desirable that you have;
- A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
- Experience in a long day care setting
- Experience with children with additional needs.
- Experience in supervising and assisting in day-to-day operations of a service.
- Experience in performing duties as an educational leader.
