About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Bar and Kitchen Staff to join our team at Mt Gravatt Bowls Club. This is a casual position based in Upper Mount Gravatt, Queensland , offering flexible working arrangements to suit your availability. You will play an essential role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the quality standards our members and guests expect, whether working behind the bar, taking orders, or supporting kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and serve drinks with accuracy, efficiency and a friendly demeanour
- Take customer orders and process payments using our point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas
- Assist with food preparation and plating in the kitchen when required
- Ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol practices
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about available beverages and menu items
- Manage stock rotation and report on inventory levels




- Support the team in delivering outstanding customer service to all patrons
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and food handling standards

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in bar, hospitality or kitchen roles (desirable but not essential)
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or ability to complete training
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Basic mathematical skills and honesty in handling cash and payments
