You will create nutritious meals using our rotational menus for the wonderful children in our care. This role requires 1-2 years of cooking experience.

Key responsibilities
n
Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon snacks based on rotational menu
n
Cater to dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural preferences of children
n
Ensure a clean and safe kitchen workplace by following food safety, storage and hygiene practices
n
Collaborate with Service Manager to create a positive dining experience for children
n
Manage inventory and order food supplies within budget guidelines
n
Engage positively with children and staff on a daily basis
n
About you
n
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
n
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
n
Experience cooking in children's services or a similar setting is preferred but not mandatory
n
Knowledge of dietary needs and allergies as they relate to children (risk management)
n
Willing to undertake first aid training, including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis training
n
Reliable, team-orientated attitude, and able to work independently
n
Australian work rights are required for this position
n
Child Safe Mandatory Gekko Training (or willingness to obtain)
