St. James Primary Banora Point is seeking an energetic Trainee in Business Administration with a commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education and student-centred education. St. James’ School has 400 students who are educated by dedicated staff and caring parents in a co-responsible manner. Banora Point is situated in Tweed Heads, NSW. Applications are invited from candidates who have a strong interest in developing a career in school administration and supporting the day-to-day operations of the School Office at St James Primary School.

The successful candidate will undertake a Certificate III in Business at TAFE NSW while gaining practical experience supporting the School Administration team. Paid study time will be provided each week to assist with the completion of course requirements and assessments.

- have a current NSW Working with Children Check
- compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Applicants Will Be Required To:

- be self-motivated, organised, creative, trustworthy, committed and able to motivate youth
- time management skills, or working autonomously under minimal supervision
- experience in a professional or customer-facing environment
- have excellent communication skills, and personal initiative
- be able to recognise and maintain confidentiality
- have a strong work ethic and the motivation to complete a 12-month traineeship, along with the ability to pass relevant study requirements
- ability to use a range of Google and Microsoft Office products (or willingness to learn)
- ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (a customer service background is desirable)
