DDH1 Drilling is a leading Australian mineral exploration drilling contractor and part of the Perenti Group. With a national fleet and operations across Australia, our Maintenance team plays a critical role in keeping our rigs, equipment and support fleet operating safely and efficiently.

We're looking for an experienced Parts & Vendor Coordinator to join our Perth-based Maintenance team and provide national support across parts sourcing, supplier management and external repairs.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the National Maintenance Manager, you'll be the central link between Maintenance, Operations, Stores, Procurement, OEMs and repair vendors.

n

This is a hands-on coordination role where your mechanical knowledge, parts interpretation skills and commercial awareness will directly contribute to parts availability, reduced downtime, repair turnaround and supplier performance.

n

You'll work across our drilling rigs, heavy equipment, light vehicles, trucks and supporting fleet, helping standardise parts and vendor processes nationally.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Interpret parts requirements using OEM systems, manuals, drawings, serial numbers and equipment information.
n
- Source parts, obtain quotations, place orders and follow up suppliers through to delivery.
n
- Identify suitable OEM and aftermarket alternatives where appropriate.
n
- Develop and maintain critical spares lists, field maintenance kits and standard parts requirements.
n




- Coordinate external component and equipment repairs from quotation and approval through to return-to-service.
n
- Maintain visibility of outstanding parts, repairs, vendor commitments, completion dates and risks.
n
- Build and maintain solid relationships with OEMs, parts suppliers and repair vendors.
n
- Monitor supplier pricing, lead times, quality and turnaround performance.
n
- Support preferred supplier and vendor rationalisation initiatives.
n
- Ensure quotations, approvals, scope and supporting documentation are complete before purchasing commitments are made.
n
- Review high-value parts and repair quotations for competitiveness and repair-versus-replace opportunities.
n
- Work with Stores and Maintenance to improve inventory accuracy, stock levels and obsolete stock management.
n
- Maintain accurate parts, vendor and repair information for maintenance reporting and dashboards.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and national standardisation initiatives across the Maintenance function.

About You

n

You'll be an organised and proactive coordinator who understands parts, equipment and the realities of keeping a maintenance fleet moving.

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Demonstrated parts interpretation experience,



preferably within mining, drilling, heavy equipment, mobile plant or a related industry.
n
- Experience working with OEMs, parts suppliers, repair vendors and service providers.
n
- Sound mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret parts manuals, drawings and technical equipment information.
n
- Commercial awareness across quotations, pricing, freight, repair costs, lead times and supplier performance.
n
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with ERP, purchasing, inventory or maintenance systems.
n
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and follow-up skills.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- A solutions-focused approach with an understanding of cost, downtime and turnaround.
n
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a national Maintenance team.
n
- A current Australian Drivers Licence.
