About the role
As the Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the project from a technical, commercial and operational perspective. This is a hands-on site-based role where you will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site crews to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Day-to-day engineering and project support on site
- Monitoring project progress against program and milestones
- Cost tracking and budget management
- Reviewing quantities, variations and project costs
- Assisting with project forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction requirements
- Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
- Assisting with project documentation, reporting and client communication
- Identifying and resolving construction and engineering issues
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in civil construction or project engineering
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies
- Experience with cost tracking, project budgets and forecasting
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors and clients
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current Australian driver's licence
