Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager looking for your next challenge in local government?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled project professional to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure renewal and upgrade projects. Working within a collaborative and community-focused environment, you will play a key role in delivering critical capital works projects that improve local infrastructure and public spaces.

Your new role

As the Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept through to construction and handover, ensuring delivery within budget, scope and agreed timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing civil infrastructure and capital works projects
- Overseeing consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Contract administration and superintendent responsibilities
- Preparing project briefs, tenders and procurement documentation
- Monitoring project budgets, schedules and project performance
- Providing technical advice and project management expertise
- Managing stakeholder engagement across internal and external groups
- Preparing reports and project documentation to support decision making





What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure or capital works projects
- Strong contract management and procurement experience
- Experience managing consultants and contractors across multiple projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong financial management and budgeting capability
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Local government experience will be highly regarded
