Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Structural Engineer role based in Geelong, VIC.

The Civil Structural

Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing structural and civil systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian codes and standards. Daily tasks include performing structural analysis and calculations, preparing design documentation and technical reports, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineers, and supporting project delivery from concept through construction. The role also involves conducting site inspections, assessing existing structures, addressing technical queries during construction,



and contributing to sustainable and cost-effective design solutions.

The engineer will collaborate closely with the internal team to manage deadlines, maintain quality, and provide clear communication to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Civil engineering expertise with skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, demonstrating the ability to deliver practical infrastructure solutions.
- Structural specialization, including Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis skills, to design safe, productive, and compliant structural systems.
- Project coordination capabilities, including Project Management skills, to plan, track, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, building codes, and local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SpaceGASS, Robot, or similar) and CAD tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with attention to detail in calculations and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and contractors.
- Experience in geotechnical coordination, construction methodologies, and site inspections is desirable.
- Commitment to sustainable design principles, safety, and continuous professional development.
