Tasks & Responsibilities

- Admission of patients to our health service
- Providing high level customer service
- Monitoring and categorising incoming emails
- Managing confidential patient information professionally
- Answering calls and enquiries from patients and the public and connecting them to the most appropriate team member
- Working collaboratively with Nurse Coordinators to ensure all results and treatment orders are in place prior to treatment
- Liaising with specialist rooms, health funds, and pathology centres to facilitate patient care
- Patient document preparation and management to support service delivery
- Performing health fund eligibility checks

Criteria for the Role

- Previous medical administration experience and understanding of medical terminology
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self-direct and work independently (essential)
- Ability to foster strong working relationships within a remote setting
- Ability to remain calm under pressure with a professional and pleasant phone manner
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and patient administration systems
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours (some shifts may commence at 6:00am)
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise competing demands
- Training period of approximately 4–6 weeks will take place onsite. Once training and competency requirements are met, hybrid/WFH arrangements may be considered.
- Must be available to attend the West Leederville office a minimum of 2 days per week once the training period is completed
