Team Leader – WSUD (Water Sensitive Urban Design Assets)

Based at Yatala Depot | Servicing sites across the Gold Coast region

Step into a hands‑on team leading role where you’ll help shape greener, more sustainable communities by maintaining and enhancing vital water‑sensitive urban design assets across the Gold Coast region.

About the Role

Reporting to the WSUD Manager, you’ll lead a small crew working to protect and enhance natural water systems within urban environments. This is a energetic, field‑based role where no two days are the same, combining leadership, technical know‑how, and on‑the‑ground work.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and support a team in the delivery of water system maintenance works

Plan tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely

Carry out routine maintenance including vegetation management, weed removal, landscaping duties, brush cutting and chemical spraying

Conduct site inspections to ensure assets are functioning effectively and meeting environmental standards

Complete administrative tasks such as reporting, job tracking, and documentation





Maintain clear communication with management, providing updates on team performance, site conditions, and any issues

About You

Previous experience leading or supervising a team

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with management and crew members

Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions

A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills

Driver’s licence (essential)

White card (essential)
