Security Officer - Level 2 - Night Shift

Secom Australia are seeking a full-time, Level 2, Security Officer to work in a warehousing and logistics environment.

n

This role consists of 8-hour night shifts, Monday to Friday 2200 - 0600, on a fixed roster.

n

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong access control skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees, contractors, visitors and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service.
n
- Preventing unauthorised access.
n
- Access control for staff, truck drivers, visitors, contractors and preventing unauthorised access to the site.
n
- Maintain truck and trailer log / register and general security information.
n
- Issue of keys and access cards as per authorisation protocols.
n
- General property security checks and checks for general hazards.
n
- Security (foot) patrols during low activity periods.
n
- Monitor CCTV on-site.
n
- Conduct bag cheeks.
n
- Arming and disarming property security systems.
n
- Deter, detect, respond to security issues / incidents and complete incident reporting.
n
- Constantly maintain a professional and courteous demeanour.
n
- Uphold a clean, neat,



and well-groomed corporate appearance at all times.
n
- Remain calm, professional and decisive when responding to incidents or emergencies.
n
- Have excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
n
- Exhibit robust written and verbal communication skills, effectively identify and respond to security incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
n
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work the full proposed roster.
n
- Be confident using computers, electronic reporting systems and security equipment.
n
- Be physically capable of conducting site patrols and working 12-hour shifts.

Eligibility, Qualifications, Licences & Certifications

n

n
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unrestricted Rights to Work in Australia (Essential).
n
- Current WA Security Licence with a Class 1A as a minimum (Essential).
n
- Current First Aid Certification.
n
- Previous experience in security, access control, gatehouse operations or a similar position.
n
- Experience working within a transport, logistics, warehouse or high-volume industrial environment would be highly regarded.
