About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Bar - Bistro & Function Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent chance to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the high standards our members and guests expect. Based in Altona VIC 3018, you will work flexibly as needed to support our bar and bistro operations across varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and special events.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and serving a variety of drinks, cocktails and beverages with professionalism and flair
- Taking food and drink orders from customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Delivering food and beverages promptly to customers with exceptional attention to detail
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation behind the bar and in dining areas
- Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy service periods




- Adhering to food safety and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements
- Assisting with stock management and reporting on beverage and food supplies as required
- Engaging with customers in a warm and professional manner to enhance their experience

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a bar, bistro, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails and food service standards
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain it
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and special event days
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and reliability
- Proficiency in using point of sale (POS) systems and cash handling
- Food handling knowledge or willingness to complete training
