Titan Ford Brookvale is looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy Service Department.

This is a key operational role responsible for controlling the day-to-day flow of work through the workshop, ensuring our technicians are effectively loaded, jobs are progressing throughout the day and vehicles are completed on time.

Working closely with the Service Manager, Service Advisors and technicians, you will be the central point of coordination between the front of house and workshop.

n

We are looking for someone who understands how a productive dealership workshop should operate — someone who is organised, proactive and constantly across what is happening on the workshop floor.

Workshop Controller – Titan Ford Brookvale

Titan Ford Brookvale is looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy Service Department.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Control and coordinate the daily flow of work through the workshop
n
- Allocate and prioritise jobs across technicians based on skill level, workload and promised completion times
n
- Ensure technicians are effectively loaded throughout the day and available hours are being utilised
n




- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency and utilisation throughout the day
n
- Actively manage unapplied time and identify issues as they occur
n
- Monitor jobs in progress and proactively address delays, parts issues or additional work requirements
n
- Maintain visibility over WIP and ensure completed jobs are progressed promptly
n
- Work closely with Service Advisors to provide accurate and timely updates on job progress
n
- Ensure technician clocking and job allocation accurately reflect work being performed
n
- Coordinate additional work and ensure approved work is allocated without unnecessary delay
n
- Support technicians with workflow and elevate technical or diagnostic issues where required
n
- Assist in maintaining manufacturer processes, workshop standards and repair quality
n
- Help drive Right First Time performance and minimise repeat repairs
n
- Support apprentices and technicians in maintaining strong workshop processes and disciplines
n
- Work with the Service Manager to continually improve workshop productivity, efficiency and overall performance
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician or similar dealership workshop leadership role
n
- Solid understanding of dealership workshop operations and workflow
n
- A recognised automotive trade qualification would be highly regarded
n




- Good mechanical and technical knowledge
n
- Strong understanding of technician productivity, efficiency, utilisation and labour performance
n
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities in a busy workshop
n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with technicians, Service Advisors and management
n
- A proactive approach — you identify issues and act on them rather than waiting for them to become problems
n
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
n
- A positive, accountable and hands-on approach
n
- A current Australian driver's licence
n

Previous Ford dealership experience, Ford technical training or experience with ERA would be highly regarded, however experienced candidates from other manufacturers are encouraged to apply.
