From routine health checks and preventative care through to advanced surgical procedures and medical consultations, our focus is always on delivering high-quality veterinary care and an outstanding client experience. As our business continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced and people-focused General Manager to help lead our next phase of success.

About the Role

n

Reporting directly to the Director, you will oversee the operational, financial and people leadership functions of the business while supporting a team of Veterinarians, Veterinary Nurses and Administration Team Members.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team
n
- Driving operational excellence across clinic and mobile services
n
- Managing budgets, business performance and key operational metrics
n
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
n
- Championing exceptional client service and customer experience
n
- Ensuring compliance, workplace safety and business governance requirements
n
- Managing facilities, fleet, systems and business infrastructure
n
- Partnering with the Director on strategic initiatives and future growth opportunities
n

About You

n

To be successful in the role, you will bring:

- Experience in General Management, Operations Management, Practice Management or a similar leadership role
n
- Proven ability to lead, develop and engage multidisciplinary teams
n
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, reporting and KPI management
n
- Experience overseeing recruitment, workforce planning and performance management
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
n
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership
n

n

The following qualifications and experience will be viewed favourably:

n

n
- Diploma of Practice Management, Business Administration, Health Administration or a related discipline
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or Healthcare Administration
n
- Experience within the veterinary, healthcare, allied health or professional services sectors
n
- Understanding of workplace health and safety, compliance and governance requirements
n
- Experience with financial reporting, inventory management and business systems such as Xero or practice management software
n
