An established and growing roofing business is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber / Leading Hand to join its team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified roof plumber looking to take the next step in their career while staying actively involved on the tools.

In this role, you'll lead a small crew, coordinate day-to-day site activities, mentor apprentices and help deliver a range of residential and commercial roofing projects to a high standard. ABOUT THE ROLE:

n

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your crew and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and mentoring a team of 2–3 apprentices
n
- Working hands-on across roofing projects
n
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
n
- Organising daily site activities and coordinating workflow
n
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Monitoring quality, productivity and project progress
n
- Identifying and resolving issues on site before they become problems
n
- Communicating with builders, supervisors, clients and management
n




- Supporting and developing apprentices within the trade
n
- Taking ownership of your crew, site and project outcomes
n
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard
n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

n

We're looking for someone who is confident leading a crew and capable of making sound decisions independently on site.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Roof Plumbing trade qualification – essential
n
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand or in a similar supervisory position
n
- Strong roofing industry experience
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
n
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
n
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
- The ability to lead by example
n
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career
n

Desirable – or willingness to obtain:

n

- Police Clearance
n
- NSW Working With Children Check
n
- Contractors Licence
n
- MR Licence – preferred but not essential
n
