Doolan is an established and growing Australian-owned business delivering plumbing, civil and infrastructure services across major projects throughout NSW.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our Finance team at our Windsor office.

n

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on senior payroll role responsible for coordinating and supporting the effective day-to-day delivery of Doolan's payroll function.

n

Working closely with Finance, HR, managers and site teams, you will take a lead role in ensuring payroll accuracy, timeliness and compliance, while strengthening payroll processes, controls and systems.

n

The role suits an experienced payroll professional who enjoys being involved in the detail while bringing the experience and capability to take greater responsibility within the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Coordinate and support accurate and timely weekly payroll.
n
- Process and review payroll through MYOB Acumatica, including adjustments, deductions, allowances and entitlements.
n
- Oversee ClockShark time records, timesheets and payroll-related job information.
n
- Ensure compliance with applicable Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment conditions.
n
- Manage superannuation, Incolink, payroll tax, long service leave and other payroll obligations.
n
- Complete payroll reconciliations, month-end/year-end processes and STP requirements.
n




- Resolve payroll and entitlement queries with employees, managers, Finance and HR.
n
- Monitor payroll controls, discrepancies and compliance requirements.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and reporting.
n
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records.
n

About You

n

You will be an experienced payroll professional with robust technical capability and the confidence to take a lead role within a busy payroll environment.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a senior payroll capacity.
n
- Experience coordinating or leading payroll activities within a complex payroll environment.
n
- Experience within construction, civil, infrastructure, trade services, engineering, manufacturing, logistics or another complex award-based environment highly regarded.
n
- Robust understanding of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and payroll compliance.
n
- Experience with MYOB or a comparable payroll system.
n
- ClockShark or similar time and attendance system experience highly regarded.
n
- Sound knowledge of superannuation, payroll tax, leave entitlements and long service leave.
n
- Strong payroll reconciliation, systems and process improvement capability.
n
- Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
n
- Practical communication skills and the ability to work effectively across site and office environments.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline desirable, but not essential where supported by strong relevant payroll experience.
