The Ocean Beach Hotel is looking for a vibrant & motivated individual to join our team as a Bar Manager. The current position is on a Casual Basis under the HIGA General Award -Managerial Rates, with the potential for a Salary Position for the right candidate.

In this role you will support the business to maximise potential and provide professional & friendly service.

n

The role will require you to lead, manage & train Bar staff and make sure daily operations are running optimally.

n

Excellent communication skills are a must, together with versatility and a can-do attitude.

n

Responsibilities include opening & closing of the Hotel, Staff Supervision & Training, Shift Management and providing a safe & pleasant environment for staff & customers alike. This is a hands on role and will require you to be front of house and lead by example.

n

Your role will include:

n

Providing friendly, professional & quality service to our patrons

n

Managing a positive & productive work environment for staff

n

Promoting the Venue & brainstorming ideas to reach recent clientele

n

Ensuring compliance with OH&S; and RGL polices

n

Ensuring a clean, safe and well maintained venue at all times

n

Managing Bar & Cellar Operations, assisting in stock control and minimizing wastage

n

Assisting in all Hotel departments as required to ensure smooth operation at all times

n

Applicants must:

n





Hold a current Approved Managers Certificate and National Police Clearance Certificate

n

Experience with POS, preferably the H & L System

n

Have a keen attention to detail

n

Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills

n

Beself motivated & enthusiastic

n

Have the ability to work in fast paced and high pressure situations

n

Develop strong customer and colleague relations

n

Experience in a similar role is a must. The Roster of this role will include rotating day & night shifts as well as weekends. This position is an opportunity to further your career inHospitality, whilst working with a professional Management Team.
