We're currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join an upcoming shutdown at Kogan Creek Power Station in regional Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a Tier 1 industrial shutdown, alongside experienced maintenance teams on a major power generation site. About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for supporting maintenance and shutdown activities across the Kogan Creek Power Station.
Duties will include:
- Mechanical maintenance,
repairs and servicing of industrial equipment
- Equipment installation, inspection and fault finding
- Mechanical assembly and component replacement
- Working alongside experienced shutdown crews to complete critical maintenance works safely and efficiently
- Following site procedures, safety standards and quality requirements
You will be part of a skilled industrial maintenance team delivering essential shutdown works within a high-performing environment.
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 2 years' experience working on industrial shutdowns (essential)
- Previous experience within power generation, mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial or resources environments
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience
- Current Working at Heights (completed or renewed within the last 2 years)
- Current Confined Space (completed or renewed within the last 2 years)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork
