Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Pharmarcy Assistant to join the team within Prison Health Services at the Townsville Correctional Facility at Stuart on a permanent part-tme basis, working 44 hours per fortnight.

About the Townsville Prison Health Service:

The Townsville Prison Health Service (TPHS) is a primary health care service that operates across multiple facilities in Stuart, Townsville.

The Townsville Corrections Centre (TCC) covers a large geographical area, has both men and women high and low custody facilities with separate sections required for security and accommodations.

The service is a nurse led primary health care model, supplemented with part time GP's, allied health and other specialist services.

- Generous remuneration package value up to $41,718 p.a. (CA3)
- Salary range: $34.53 to $36.34 p.h.
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity:

As a clinical assistant, you will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, medical officers and correctional staff to help ensure people in custody have timely access to essential medication and healthcare supplies. Your work will contribute directly to improving health outcomes for a population that often experiences significant barriers to healthcare access.

Requirements

- Desirable: Successful completion of Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT37121) or equivalent, including the ‘Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock' Module (HLTPA001) is required for this position to be employed at CA3 level.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- Enter other requirements, e.g., Drivers Licence or desirable quals etc.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Queensland Corrective Services Criminal History Check.
