We are seeking an experienced Commercial Principal to lead our commercial function and drive strategic improvements across procurement and commercial management. About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across the Commercial function while ensuring efficient, compliant and commercially sound business outcomes. You will work closely with operational and corporate stakeholders to optimise procurement and supply chain performance, manage key commercial contracts and support the delivery of business growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the Commercial function and embedding best-for-business commercial strategies

Driving continuous improvement across Commercial function

Managing procurement, contract management and commercial governance activities

Overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, freight logistics, diesel supply and aviation contracts

Leading feasibility studies and commercial projects that support business growth

Maintaining and improving systems and governance frameworks

Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and commercial partners

Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, governance requirements and company standards.

Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, reduce costs and create value.

About You





You are an experienced commercial qualified with a strategic mindset and a proven ability to lead complex commercial functions. You thrive in a collaborative environment, build robust stakeholder relationships and are passionate about driving continuous improvement.

You will ideally bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).

Minimum 8 years' experience in a senior commercial, procurement or supply leadership role.

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing high-value contracts and procurement activities.

Demonstrated experience leading business improvement initiatives and commercial projects.

Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence outcomes across all levels of the business.
