Payroll Solutions Pty Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client to support the delivery of community relationship services for their Islamic faith-driven donor base. Our client delivers humanitarian and community development programs both locally and internationally.

We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our client on a casual basis. This is a hybrid role with both on-site and remote work.

About The Role

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will support community engagement, fundraising and outreach activities, coordinating engagement and communications with mosques, volunteers, schools, businesses, community groups, donors and supporters.

This is a community-facing role where you will represent the client at events and outreach activities. The role involves regular travel across Broadmeadows, surrounding areas and Melbourne CBD, with occasional evening or weekend work. Regular office attendance in Melbourne CBD will be required in the future.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with maintaining relationships with mosques, volunteers, schools, community groups, businesses, donors and key stakeholders.
- Support collections, mosque visits, fundraising activities, donor engagement initiatives.
- Attend and assist with community events, presentations, stalls, activations and outreach activities.
- Coordinate community engagement activities with businesses, schools and community organisations.




- Assist with the delivery of Ramadan, Qurban and other fundraising and community campaigns.
- Support community participation and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and communications.
- Prepare reports, correspondence and administrative documentation as required.
- Work collaboratively with the team to support the client’s visibility, reputation and community presence.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in administration, community engagement, fundraising support or a similar role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating events, community activities or outreach initiatives.
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Qualified, reliable and confident when engaging with diverse community groups.

Desirable

- Existing relationships with Islamic communities, mosques or community organisations.
- Experience in fundraising or donor engagement.
- Experience working with volunteers and community stakeholders.

Requirements

- Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Current and satisfactory National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to travel as required and attend events on evenings or weekends when needed.

Pay: From $36.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Melbourne VIC
