Melbourne

Being in a business support role at Australia Post means helping our people deliver for every Australian. Just like our Posties, you're still the people behind every parcel. Whatever your team or role, you're helping grow our people, grow our business and making a lasting impact on the Australian community. You'll find a culture of connection in our outstanding people and the flexibility to balance work with life outside of it.

About the opportunity

This is a highly visible role at the heart of Australia Post’s Community team, leading national programs that create meaningful outcomes for Australian communities while strengthening Australia Post’s reputation, social impact and community connection. You'll have the opportunity to shape and deliver initiatives that support Australia Post’s purpose of helping communities thrive, working across the business and with external partners to drive measurable impact.

You'll also

- Lead the end-to-end design, delivery, promotion and continuous improvement of national community programs and grant initiatives.
- Own program governance, risk management, budgeting, evaluation and reporting to ensure strong outcomes and accountability.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise engagement and support for community initiatives in line with strategic priorities.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on community program delivery, grant management and social impact measurement.
- Collaborate across Communications, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Sustainability and Government Relations to deliver high-profile community initiatives and campaigns that enhance Australia Post’s brand and community impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes,

enhance participant experiences and increase program effectiveness.

About you You’re a collaborative and purpose-driven professional who is passionate about creating positive community outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich environment, bring strong commercial thinking and relationship-building skills, and are motivated by delivering meaningful initiatives that align with Australia Post’s purpose of helping communities thrive.

You'll also

- Demonstrate experience designing and delivering community programs, grants or philanthropic initiatives within a corporate, not-for-profit or similar environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and partnering across large, complex organisations.
- Experience measuring, evaluating and reporting social impact, with an understanding of the B4SI social impact frameworks.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, governance, budget management and the ability to deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Knowledge of, or robust connections within, Australia's not-for-profit and community sector, with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

What else is in it for you?

- Bring your whole self to work every day and be met by a welcoming bunch of people who respect and support you.
- Opportunities for growth and development through formal programs or mentorship.
- Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket, evolving policies for flexible working, leave types and access to health and wellbeing resources.

All walks, one route It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it's important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.

We welcome people of all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We're a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We're also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us.

If you've got questions about accessibility, reach out to our Diversity & Inclusion team at [email protected] or on 03 8737 9415.

One last thing

Research shows that women and people from underrepresented backgrounds are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet every requirement. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't meet every single criterion, we'd still love to hear from you. If you're passionate about supporting leaders, building strong relationships and helping Australia Post deliver for Australia, we encourage you to apply.
