Mechanical Engineering Supervisor – Industrial Projects

Tetris Group is seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong industrial experience who is confident managing projects from initial client discussions and estimating through to execution and completion.

The successful candidate will ideally already have experience within the industrial sector, established industry relationships and an existing client network they can continue to develop.

About the Role

You will take ownership of mechanical projects while also supporting our ongoing shutdown, maintenance and project works. The position combines project supervision, estimating, and site supervision, with the opportunity to help grow Tetris Group's mechanical workload and client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising mechanical and engineering projects from enquiry through to completion
- Preparing estimates, quotations and project scopes
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and client requirements
- Coordinating and supervising site works
- Assisting with and overseeing weekly industrial shutdown and maintenance works
- Supervising project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
- Developing new opportunities through your existing industry network and relationships
- Conducting site visits and attending client meetings
- Identifying variations and additional works
- Working closely with management, tradespeople, engineers and administration staff
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Supporting business development and helping grow the Mechanical division

About You

We are looking for someone who can step into the role with a good understanding of the industrial environment and who is comfortable taking ownership of their work.

Ideally, you will have:





- Previous experience in a mechanical, engineering, fabrication or industrial supervisory/project role
- Strong industrial experience – manufacturing, steel, recycling, processing, energy, heavy industry or similar highly regarded, food grade processing
- Experience estimating and quoting mechanical works
- Experience running projects and coordinating site teams
- Experience with shutdown and maintenance works
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation, fabrication, and site works
- Existing relationships or a client base within the industrial sector would be highly regarded
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Good commercial awareness and ability to supervise project costs
- Ability to identify and pursue new work opportunities
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to supervise multiple jobs at once
- Current driver's licence
- Formal engineering qualifications are advantageous; however, solid practical industry experience, client relationships and proven project delivery experience will also be highly valued.
