About The Role The Cook position forms part of the kitchen team and is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in line with the restaurant’s service standards. The role directly supports day-to-day food service operations and ensures timely preparation of meals during service periods.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $76,000 to $82,000 + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and portion standards

Assist in daily mise en place, including ingredient preparation and station setup prior to service

Operate across different kitchen sections to support continuous food service during peak periods





Monitor cooking processes to ensure quality, consistency, and timely output of dishes

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment

Store food safely and manage stock rotation in line with food safety requirements

Assist with receiving deliveries and basic stock handling within the kitchen

Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow

Follow workplace health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times

Skills & Experience

Relevant qualification such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience

Minimum 1–2 years of full-time experience in a commercial kitchen

Ability to work in a fast‑paced service environment

Understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff
