Experienced Sewing Machinist / Curtain Maker

Small boutique workroom in St Peters is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our team. The role will require you to operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate high-quality curtains, soft furnishings and other textile goods.

What you'll be doing

- Operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, trim, and finish curtain and soft furnishing products according to specifications. Hand sewing of soft furnishings is an essential part of this position.
- Performing quality checks throughout the production process to ensure all items meet our high standards
- Contributing to a safe and efficient work environment with other members of staff

What we're looking for

- Over five (5) years of experience as a Sewing Machinist.
- Significant experience operating industrial sewing machines in a commercial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand worksheets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to meet production targets
- Knowledge of textile materials,



sewing techniques and finishing processes
- Comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
