Job Description

This is a hands-on field role suited to people with experience in water infrastructure, civil plumbing, service connections, pipework, excavation or similar utility works. Depending on your experience, your work may include water service repairs and replacements, installation and replacement of water services and associated pipework, excavation and exposure of existing services, working around live water infrastructure and other underground utilities, meter and property service works, backfilling and preparation for reinstatement, use of small plant, hand tools and plumbing equipment, completing job documentation, photographs and field records, working within Sydney Water, WB Infrastructure and WHS requirements, and responding to planned and reactive water service works across Sydney.

Once you have completed the required training and have been assessed as competent to perform the role independently, you will be provided with a company vehicle for work use.

The vehicle will be equipped to support your day-to-day field duties across the Sydney metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

- Water service repairs and replacements

About you

n

n
- Experience working in civil construction, plumbing or water infrastructure
n
- Strong understanding of underground services and safe excavation practices
n
- Ability to work effectively within a field-based crew
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Construction White Card
n
- A solid safety focus and reliable work ethic
n
- Plumbing qualifications and relevant plant or civil construction tickets will be highly regarded
n
