About us

St Peter Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 22218) and CRICOS-registered provider (03167G) in the Melbourne CBD. For over 14 years we have delivered English language, business, leadership and workplace skills programs to domestic and international students. We now also offer building and construction trades through SPI Academy of Trades. Our student community is diverse, and we want our content to show real learning, real people and real career outcomes.

The Role

We're looking for a Content Creator to plan, produce and publish video, photo and written content across our social media, website and digital channels. You will support our marketing campaigns, help us reach prospective students, and use performance data to improve what we publish. You'll work closely with management and our marketing and student-facing teams.

Content creation and production

- Plan, shoot, edit and curate engaging, relevant and timely short-form video, Reels, TikToks and promotional content that drives audience engagement.
- Write scripts, and track market trends on social media, to create viral hooks that boost social media engagement.
- Develop creative concepts, storyboards and captions aligned with our brand.
- Film staff, students, events, interviews and campaign content.
- Operate cameras, smartphones, lighting and microphones to capture high-quality footage.
- Photograph events, campus activities, students and team members.
- Edit footage using tools such as CapCut, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, adding captions, music, graphics and transitions.
- Turn current trends and platform formats into relevant, on-brand content, and develop recurring content series.

- Coordinate with external suppliers for photography, videography and design where needed.

Marketing and campaign management

- Develop and implement digital marketing and social media strategies that increase brand awareness, searchability and enrolment enquiries.
- Build and maintain content calendars for social media, the website and other digital channels.
- Create promotional content that clearly communicates our courses, value proposition and studentoutcomes.
- Research audience preferences, industry trends and competitor activity to inform content strategy.
- Collaborate with influencers and content creators to develop content and extend our brand reach.
- Work with management to plan promotional activity within agreed timelines and budgets.

Digital marketing and performance

- Manage, schedule and monitor multiple social media accounts and publish content across our website and digital channels.
- Interact with followers, and respond to comments and messages, to grow a strong online presence and community.
- Monitor and analyse campaign and social media performance using analytics tools, covering engagement, reach, website traffic and enquiries.
- Prepare regular reports with results, audience insights and recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance website content for external and internal audiences, improving search visibility and engagement.

- Test formats, sounds and storytelling styles, and refine content based on measurable results.

General

- Keep brand identity, messaging and visuals consistent across all materials.
- Manage multiple projects to deadline and quality standards.
- Keep up to date with new content tools, social trends and digital marketing practices.

About you

- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital Media or a related field, or other relevant marketing qualifications or certificates. Strong candidates with an outstanding portfolio may be considered without a formal qualification.
- Proven experience creating and editing social-first video and photo content (please include a portfolio or sample links).
- Experience writing scripts and hooks for short-form video.
- Proficiency in CapCut, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong writing skills and a good sense of storytelling and captions.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, and of analytics tools.
- Well organised, able to manage several projects at once, and comfortable working to deadlines.
- Experience in education, or in marketing to international students, is highly regarded.
- Full working rights in Australia.
