About the role In this position you will play a key role in assisting the Operations Manager with the management of our contract farming business, focusing on delivering a high-quality spraying and harvesting services to clients. This role involves cultivating strong relationships with farmers and agribusiness partners, ensuring adherence to contracts, optimizing agricultural practices, and maximizing work and profitability for all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with contract terms, ensuring we meet our obligations
- Seek additional contracts in order to meet specified KPI's
- Create and promote a positive health and safety culture
- Establish and maintain solid relationships with farmers and agribusiness partners
- Conduct regular conversations to foster strong relations and ensure satisfaction
- Support in managing and training staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best farming practices
- Motivate and lead the team to achieve operational goals, fostering a positive work environment
- Collect and analyze data on operations to track performance against benchmarks
About you
- Previous experience in agricultural management
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices specific to spraying and harvesting (specific to Goldacres and John Deere machines)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Open to learning and adapting to new technologies and agricultural methods
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid Australian driver's license and any relevant agricultural certifications
