Hecho En Mexico is expanding our kitchen team and is currently seeking 4–5 Chefs and Cooks to join our restaurants across Canberra Centre and Kingston.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and motivated team members who enjoy working in a rapid-paced hospitality environment and take pride in preparing quality food.
Available Positions
- Chef – Part-Time / Casual
- Cook – Part-Time / Casual
- Multiple positions available across our Canberra Centre and Kingston locations
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes, quality standards and presentation requirements.
- Complete daily food preparation and mise en place.
- Maintain consistent food quality, portion control and presentation.
- Work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen and work environment.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen duties.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Follow directions from senior chefs and restaurant management.
About You
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop your skills.
No Experience? We Welcome You!
Experience is preferred but not essential. If you are enthusiastic, hardworking and keen to learn, we would still love to hear from you.
Full training will be provided to suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment.
