Part-Time Chef – Burger Kitchen

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated Part-Time Chef to join our burger kitchen. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in producing great food, keeping a clean and organised kitchen, and working efficiently during busy service periods.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking our burger menu and supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during service.

We’re looking for someone who understands that good time management and high hygiene standards are just as important as good food.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook burgers, sides and other menu items to a consistent standard
- Maintain a fast and efficient pace during busy service periods
- Manage your time effectively to ensure orders are prepared within expected service times
- Complete food preparation and kitchen tasks within allocated timeframes
- Maintain excellent food safety and personal hygiene standards at all times
- Follow correct food handling, storage, temperature and cleaning procedures
- Keep workstations clean, organised and ready for service
- Complete cleaning and closing duties thoroughly
- Minimise food waste through proper preparation, storage and stock rotation




- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Follow recipes, portion controls and kitchen procedures consistently

About You The ideal candidate will:
- Have commercial kitchen or chef experience
- Be comfortable working in a busy burger/short-order kitchen
- Have excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Take cleanliness and food hygiene seriously
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Stay calm and organised during busy services
- Have a strong eye for detail and consistency
- Work well as part of a team
- Take pride in the quality and presentation of their food

Pay: $31.00 – $45.00 per hour
