About The Role

As the Coordinator Towards Zero Suicides, you will lead a transformative program of work focused on improving suicide prevention outcomes across the Murrumbidgee. Working with clinicians, community partners, people with lived experience and senior leaders, you will drive innovative models of care, strengthen workforce capability and influence meaningful system-wide change that supports safer and healthier communities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation of the Towards Zero Suicides initiative and drive service improvement across inpatient and community mental health services.
- Develop and deliver innovative suicide prevention strategies, programs and models of care aligned with best practice and local community needs.
- Build workforce capability by promoting and supporting evidence-based approaches to suicide prevention and intervention.
- Foster strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organisations,



Aboriginal health services and other key stakeholders to enhance coordinated care and support.
- Lead co-design, quality improvement and change management initiatives that strengthen suicide prevention services and improve outcomes across the region.

What We’re Looking For

- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy or a Tertiary qualification in a relevant or related field and / or demonstrated successful experience in MHAOD at senior management level.




- A commitment to improving mental health and suicide prevention services.
- Experience leading service development, organisational change or quality improvement initiatives within a complex health or community services environment.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams, community organisations and people with lived experience.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions that improve service delivery and outcomes.
