About the role A position exists for a person to undertake the duties of coordinator for the Yilgarn Local Action Group – Skeleton Weed. The successful person will be required to work as a part of a team for the Local Action Group – Skeleton Weed, and in partnership with Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development staff and other associated parties to provide a clerical/co-ordination role, to assist landholders to meet their responsibilities in controlling skeleton weed on their properties.

Key responsibilities

- Be the first point of contact for Landholders reporting infestations or suspected infestations of skeleton weed

- Provide a report for all Local Action Group meetings

- Maintain responsibility for all Local Action Group assets

- Maintain responsibility for providing annual budgetary requirements of the day to day running of the Local Action Group

- Possess a reasonable understanding of Skeleton Weed Program along with keeping up to date with any change when instructed by DPIRD

- Maintain property files (Hard Copy and in Objective) for all infested properties in the LAG area





- Maintain Skeleton Weed Database for all infested properties in the LAG area

- Provide advice and support to LAGs in meeting Skeleton Weed Program requirements

- Provide advice and support to affected landholders on Best Practice Management for Skeleton Weed

- Provide extension support in the LAG area in consultation with the Project Manager
