Do you want secure income, support to further develop your clinical expertise (including CPD and peer consultation), and a caseload aligned with your clinical niche?

The Psychology Alley is a growing, values-driven private practice based in Sydney CBD (St James Trust Building). We're looking for a Psychologist to join the practice 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as an employee of the practice.

This role is designed for a psychologist currently working outside of private practice (e.g. hospital, NGO, community, or mixed roles) who wants to transition into private practice in a supported, sustainable way, while building a caseload aligned with their clinical interests.

This is a career-building role designed to support your long-term development as a psychologist, with scope over time to move into mentoring or senior roles as the practice expands.

What your week will look like

What your week will look like
n We believe clarity supports sustainability. In this role, you'll receive:
n

- Part-time employee role: 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferred)
n
- Hourly rate: $55 to $70 per hour + super, aligned with a structured progression framework based on years of experience, clinical capability, and caseload utilisation.
n
- Transparent pay structure, with clear expectations from the outset
n
- Remuneration is reviewed annually, taking into account experience, clinical contribution, role responsibilities and practice sustainability.
n
- A sustainable clinical load, typically up to 5 client appointments per full clinical day, with paid non-client time for documentation, correspondence, consultation and other clinical responsibilities.
n
- A practice intentionally designed to support long-term clinical work and reduce burnout

- A modest annual CPD allowance, pro-rated to contracted FTE and available following successful completion of probation, tailored to support your developing clinical niche

About the Practice
n
The Psychology Alley is currently known for work with adults presenting with complex and high-impact difficulties, including personality vulnerabilities, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and cross-cultural or identity-related concerns. You won't be expected to replicate the practice lead's work. Instead, you'll be supported to develop your own clinical identity and niche, while working within a practice that values depth, formulation-driven work, and long-term change. We welcome psychologists whose interests overlap with or complement the current focus of the practice.

The Role
n In your day-to-day work, you'll:
n

- Provide evidence-based psychological therapy to adult clients
n
- Maintain timely, high-quality clinical notes and records
n
- Prepare GP and referrer correspondence as required
n
- Participate in case discussion and reflective practice as appropriate
n
n
Systems, referrals, and practice infrastructure are already in place so you can focus on clinical work.

About You
n
About You
n You'll be:

- Fully registered with AHPRA as a psychologist. Clinical Psychology endorsement is welcomed but not required.
n
- Eligible to work in Australia, with valid Australian work rights
n
- Experienced in providing therapy to adult clients
n
- Thoughtful, reliable, and reflective in your clinical work
n
