As we gear up for the summer, an exciting new position has opened in our Kitchen Team. And we are on the hunt for passionate Chefs to join the crew.

Responsibilities

n

Assist the head chef with preparing and cooking menu items to spec

n

Maintain high standards in food presentation and timing

n

Keep stock levels in check and communicate shortages

n

Ensure the kitchen stays clean, secure, and organised

n

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

n

Work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team

n

Manage the kitchen effectively and efficiently in absence of the head chef

n





Monitor quality and consistency of dishes

n

Help train and support new kitchen team members

n

Uphold hygiene standards and kitchen compliance

n

Contribute to efficient stock and labour cost management

n

Requirements

n

Proven experience as a restaurant cook or chef level

n

Solid understanding of food and safety standards

n

Full working rights in Australia

n

Ability to work well in a team environment

n

Excellent communication skills/proficient in English

n

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure

n

Excellent time and food preperation management skills in quiet and/or busy periods

n

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (essential)

n

Job Type: Contract – minimum 15 hours per week
