Project Planner / Scheduler

with strong construction knowledge and the ability to turn project scopes, drawings and delivery methodology into practical, logic driven programs that project teams can actually use. This role would suit an experienced Planner or Scheduler, or a strong

Site Engineer or Project Engineer looking to move further into planning and project controls , provided you already have experience using

Primavera P6 or MS Project . We are not looking for someone who has only updated existing schedules. We want someone who understands how projects are built, can develop the construction sequence, build the program and then work directly with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors to refine and maintain it throughout delivery. mining, civil construction, infrastructure and asset intensive industries . We work closely with project delivery teams to provide practical planning, scheduling and project controls support that improves visibility, decision making and project outcomes. Our approach is based on understanding how projects will actually be delivered and using that knowledge to develop realistic, practical programs.

The Role As a Project Planner / Scheduler, you will work closely with project teams from the early planning stages through to delivery. You will be responsible for understanding the scope, methodology, sequencing, resources and constraints of each project and translating that information into a clear and achievable program.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing scopes, drawings, BoQs and construction documentation

Developing practical construction sequences and project programs

Building and maintaining schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project

Developing schedule logic, durations, milestones, baselines and lookaheads

Incorporating quantities,



productivity rates and resource assumptions into programs

Working directly with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors to understand how the work will be delivered

Identifying interfaces, constraints, delays and schedule risks

Monitoring progress and assessing changes against the project program

Maintaining accurate and practical project schedules throughout delivery

Clearly communicating key dates, sequencing, risks, constraints and changes

Presenting and discussing programs with project teams

Challenging assumptions where required to ensure programs remain realistic and achievable

Taking ownership of planning activities and proactively obtaining the information needed from the wider project team

The role is

Brisbane based , with occasional travel to project sites for introductions, project engagement and maintaining relationships with clients and delivery teams.

About You We are particularly interested in people who have developed strong planning capability through

hands on construction or project delivery experience . You may currently be working as a:

Project Planner

Project Scheduler

Construction Planner

Site Engineer

Project Engineer

Project Controls professional with a strong construction background

You will ideally bring:

Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodology

Site Engineering, Project Engineering or construction planning experience

Experience interpreting drawings, scopes, quantities and construction documentation

Practical understanding of how construction projects are planned and delivered

Existing experience using

Primavera P6 or MS Project





Strong understanding of schedule logic and programming

Confidence working directly with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors

Ability to communicate and present programs clearly to project teams

A proactive and independent approach to gathering information and solving problems

Ability to understand a new project quickly and develop a credible first pass program

Confidence asking questions, challenging assumptions and engaging directly with project teams

What Will Set You Apart The strongest candidates will be able to take a recent project, understand the scope and construction methodology, determine the sequence of works and develop the initial program with minimal direction. From there, you will engage with the delivery team to test assumptions, refine the program and ensure it remains practical and aligned with how the project will actually be delivered. Strong construction knowledge is more important to us than simply having years of experience updating existing schedules. If you come from a Site Engineering or Project Engineering background and already have practical experience using P6 or MS Project, we would also be interested in speaking with you.
