Run and manage an assigned section of the kitchen (e.g. grill, larder, fry, or prep) during service
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to recipe and presentation standards
Maintain mise en place and ensure section is fully stocked and prepped ahead of service
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak trading periods
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in line with venue SOPs
Monitor stock levels within your section and flag shortages or wastage
Support training and guidance of junior kitchen staff and apprentices
Assist with stocktakes, receiving deliveries, and basic inventory processes as required
Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
About you
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or solid Demi Chef ready to step up, ideally in a high-volume bar, pub, or entertainment venue
Solid understanding of kitchen sections, food prep, and cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy peak-period service
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Proficient in cooking all types of steak
