Senior Business Analyst- Asset Strategy, Capital & Performance

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of governance processes supporting asset strategy, capital projects, mine planning, processing and operational excellence.
n
- Translate corporate policies and strategic priorities into practical standards, frameworks, workflows, decision rights, controls and performance measures.
n
- Coordinate integrated planning and performance reporting processes, providing timely analysis and insights on operational, financial and capital performance.
n
- Develop and review business cases, investment evaluations, options analyses and executive and Board decision-making materials.
n
- Maintain oversight of the capital portfolio, including approvals, forecasts, project performance, risks, change management, benefit realisation and post-investment reviews.
n
- Analyse asset performance, costs, productivity and capital efficiency to identify, assess and prioritise value improvement opportunities.
n
- Partner with corporate, operational, technical, finance and project teams to resolve issues, align priorities and embed consistent ways of working across the business.
n
- Maintain controlled documentation, data standards, registers and decision records that support governance, assurance, compliance and audit requirements.

- Coach analysts and process owners,



build organisational capability and support the effective adoption of new processes, systems and tools.
n
- Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the General Manager on portfolio performance, investment priorities, risks and emerging opportunities.

About you:

n

- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics, engineering, business, data analytics or a related discipline.
n
- Five to eight years' experience in business analysis, commercial analysis, strategy, capital projects, management consulting or performance improvement.
n
- Experience within mining, resources, asset-intensive operations or capital project environments.
n
- Strong capability in financial modelling, business case development, investment evaluation and scenario analysis.
n
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance processes, controls, reporting frameworks and practical business tools.
n
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise operational, technical and financial information into clear recommendations.
n
- Proven experience preparing concise executive and Board-level reports, presentations and recommendations.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across corporate, technical and operational teams.
n
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualisation tools is desirable.
n
- Ability to balance strategic thinking, governance discipline and commercial rigour while delivering practical operational outcomes.
